Goodwood will play host to the world's fastest motorsport as the Air Race World Championship visits the United Kingdom for the inaugural race.
On July 9th and 10th 2022, pilots will race cutting-edge, aerobatic planes – capable of speeds in excess of 340 kph – around the famous Goodwood racetrack. Spectators will be close to the action while being offered unique fan experiences and some of the best food and beverages in the country.

Goodwood is located just outside Chichester, only 60 miles from London, 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton.
Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.
From the West
Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 bypass/ring road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.
200 yards after the Goodwood Motor Circuit & Aerodrome entrance, straight over at the roundabout and follow the road up to the Racecourse. On some race days there will be diversions through Goodwood Estate, please follow the signage.
From the East
Follow the A27 to Chichester, exiting at the A285 Junction. When exiting at the A285, continue North and take the second left, signposted New Road. Follow New Road to the next roundabout and take the third exit onto Kennel Hill, which will take you up to the racecourse.
Please turn off your Satnav when approaching Chichester and follow sign postage to Goodwood Racecourse using the major highway. We do ask that you respect the local villages in the surrounding area.
Parking is available for all enclosures during the event and parking permits can be purchased at the same time as admission tickets, subject to availability. Please follow the road signs on the day for directions.
The quickest way to get from Chichester to Goodwood Racecourse is by taxi, which costs approximately £18 and takes 10 min. Drivers will be directed to the appropriate drop-off locations.
The quickest way to get to Goodwood from London by train is from London Waterloo to Petersfield with a journey time of 1 hour and 2 minutes. Then, take a 30-minute taxi ride through picturesque countryside.
The nearest station to Goodwood is Chichester. There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester, with a minimum journey time of 1 hour and 30 minutes and a taxi ride of around 15 minutes.
Representing the United Kingdom is pilot Ben Murphy. Murphy is a former leader of the Royal Air Force Red Arrows and Red Bull Air Race pilot who now flies as part of the UK based Blades aerobatic display team.
Joining the Red Bull Air Race Challenger Class in 2016, he finished sixth overall in his first two seasons before graduating to the Masterclass for the 2018 season. He became the sport’s best-performing Challenger graduate, finishing fourth overall in 2019, with one podium finish to his name.
Ben Murphy is now looking forward to kicking off the Air Race 2022 season on home ground.
